Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated, independent Engineering student. As a Co-Op you will be working with our experienced Technical Support engineers assisting with customer support cases, and various assignments. You will fully participate in the technical training program for our Global Support Engineers. The candidate will work with TSE’s and local Management on initiatives, research, documentation and other duties to directly support the business as needed.

About the Team

You will be part of Akamai’s best-in-class technical support team supporting our global customers. As a member of this team you will work in a highly collaborative environment to deliver excellent customer support.

Required Education and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and returning to the program after completion of the Co-op.

  • Experience in web development.

  • 1+ year of academic experience in one or more web development languages, methodologies, and/or architectures.

  • Able to work 40 hours per week during the Co-op cycle.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and independently solve technical problems.

  • Strong communication skills – must be able to speak clearly and effectively to both technical and business audiences.

  • Enthusiastic about learning new skills and technologies.

  • Enthusiastic about taking on support related projects.

  • Great problem solvers who can resolve complex, highly technical issues.

Desired Skills

  • Some coding experience or successful completion of related college courses is a plus.

  • Creative and able to "think outside of the box" on technical issues.
