About the Job
The Sr. Inside Sales Representative, Existing Accounts is responsible for building effective relationships, generating new sales, and managing revenue from media customers in the mid-market segment. These customers will be North America-based, with a primary focus on the media and entertainment industry, including publishing, gaming, software, and related industry areas, covering the entire Akamai portfolio. This individual will manage existing relationships.
About the Team
The Emerging Media team focuses on managing and growing media customers in the mid-market. The overall team includes customer acquisition through Inside Sales, and management of existing customers as well. Akamai media mid-market customers are important to future revenue and traffic growth and hold potential to purchase and utliize multiple products within the Akamai product portfolio.
Build and maintain sales pipeline sufficient to achieve/exceed quota objectives as measured by revenue and bookings. This includes regular updating and maintaining sales status within CRM.
Execute a territory coverage plan leveraging direct contact and selling efforts with end-customers.
Manage contract renewals with the goal of maintaining and growing all customer relationships.
Champion and maintain superior relationships with customer executives and decision makers, and stakeholders
Communicate Akamai’s value proposition through a range of activities, including regular business reviews, in-person meetings, conference calls, sales campaigns, trainings and other events.
Coordinate integrated account team and provide direction on account strategy. Integrated account team includes sales, technical, support and business support functions.
Education: BS/BA Degree
Overall experience: 2+ years of technology sales experience, preferably in digital media industry
Ability to travel 10-15% of time
Strong communication, negotiation, solution-selling and presentation skills
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
High ethics, integrity, and personal drive.
Ability to execute key sales disciplines including forecasting, reporting, and customer programs
Successful sales track record of quota achievement
