Our operations team is responsible for production services stability. Support engineers are expected to improve our overall service and stability, provide continuous monitoring, dashboards and reports, enable early detection of problems and attacks, and take preventive actions. The team is taking an active part in the software delivery life cycle, ensuring software, infrastructure and operations procedures readiness, to guaranty smooth deployment.
About the Team
The Cloud Security Intelligence group (CSI) is building analytical security solutions for Akamai’s customers. Our systems are based on big data Hadoop platforms which is a dynamic, complex platform, serving multiple security products.
The team is a part of the Cloud Security Intelligence group and is responsible for making the Cloud Security platform accessible to all the product teams in Akamai that have security analytics needs.
Full responsibility for monitoring CSI systems, detect anomalies and improve alerting.
Define dashboard and reports.
Defining procedures on how to handle different situations, with specific attention to sensitive information.
Writing scripts and automation to handle events.
Collaborating with global operation teams and NOCC.
Monitoring the system continuously, identifying anomalies that my point to potential problems.
Involvement in all the Development projects and processes, ensuring production stability, change tracking and alignment with all operations tools and requirements.
BA/BS.c in computer science degree or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintaining production environments
Experience working on UNIX/Linux system
1-2 years of proven experience working with scripting languages (bash/python/Java preferred)
Excellent English Writing and Verbal abilities
