As a Technical Program Manager II, You will manage multiple complex projects and guide multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver against key business goals. You will lead the cross-functional alignment of the performance and reliability engineering portions of the product life cycle. Your contribution will be critical to the success of the team and to Akamai's business.
As a Technical Program Manager II , you will be responsible for:
Planning and organizing programs at the organization level, across multiple groups
Identifying, assessing, mitigating risks arising from variety of situations including those that arise from dependencies between groups.
Creating well-crafted messages to build consensus and/or enhance collaboration both inside and outside of the division
Creating program plans including detailed work breakdown structures, as well as resource, communication, and risk plans
Coordinating, monitoring, and leading the identification and tracking of cross-team dependencies
Communicating program status and expectation changes to senior leaders with appropriate frequency, using standardized methods
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 5 years of experience in project management in a cross functional/technical team and a Bachelors Degree
Have relevant experience in project management in a cross-functional and technical team
Have experience with waterfall and agile methodologies
Have an understanding of systems, networking, and cloud technologies
Have experience working with JIRA and Confluence
Have excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders, including executive leaders
Have proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget while communicating with key senior leaders
