Akamai's Information Security team is responsible for safeguarding Akamai, its customers, and the Internet worldwide. Our Research and Review is a team of architects and researchers that is part of Product Security, the pillar of Information Security that provides security review, testing, and advisory services throughout the SDLC to Akamai's engineering teams.
As a participant in our program, you will gain valuable experience and contribute through meaningful project work. You will have the opportunity to join us for training, networking events, and engagements with company leadership. Our internships are open to students and graduates.
Start: July 1st
Duration: 6 months
Salary: 5000-7000 PLN gross/month
Partner with the best
Researchers work with architects and product/engineering teams to improve the security of Akamai's products and services. Researchers also explore research projects to better understand Akamai and to improve security of our systems.
As a Security Researcher Intern, you will be:
Conducting hands-on research projects that bring value to overall security of the company while reflecting your personal interests
Analyzing systems for security issues and helping develop solutions to address identified risks
Contributing to projects centered around usage and/or deployment of SDLC security tools such as Web-application scanning or Static Analysis Security Testing (SAST) tool
Working alongside security architects and researchers to help build security products and learning how to effectively communicate security requirements and issues to engineers
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Be pursuing a program in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or related fields
Be familiar with at least 1 programming language
Have interest in security technologies, processes, and concepts such as cryptography, authentication and authorization, common vulnerabilities
Be willing to try ideas and evaluate their effectiveness through hands-on experimentation
Understand how the Internet and its networks and protocols (IP, DNS, HTTP, TCP or web architecture) work
Be eager to know how and why things work, and how to improve them
Work in a way that works for you
Our 6-month interm program starts in July. The program requires you to be available 40 hours per week during summer months (July-September). We offer the opportunity to work part-time during the academic year (October-December).
This is a flexible role and may be performed at your home and/or the local Akamai office (in the country advertised). We are happy to discuss working options in this role and encourage you to speak with your recruiter in more details when you apply.
