The Data Experience Team owns and operates systems that are used across Akamai for log delivery, analytics, billing, reporting and alerting. These systems currently receive over 7PB/day of data and process over 5 trillion records per day. Our code helps to run one of the largest distributed systems in the world.

As a participant in our program, you will gain valuable experience and contribute through meaningful project work. You will have the opportunity to join us for training, networking events, and engagements with company leadership. Our internships are open to students and graduates.

Salary: 5000-7000 PLN gross/month

Our team is collaborative, inclusive, and creative. We develop applications and services to empower our customers. The services used to provide customer-facing billing, event reports and alerts. In this role you will gather requirements, implement, and maintain services.

As a Contingent Worker Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Building features that allow customers understand their products

• Developing and integrating backend systems and frontend applications

• Solving complex problems in a timely and accurate manner through development

• Conducting code reviews and suggesting areas for refactoring or improvement

• Working closely with QAs to improve test suites

• Functioning in a cross-functional team where quality and availability are key capabilities that are shared across team members

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Demonstrate backend application development experience (using Java, Spring or similar frameworks, Node.js)

• Be familiar with developing frontend applications (using TypeScript, Angular or similar frameworks)

• Have experience building Web services using technologies such as REST, Linux/Unix environments, SQL database

• Display analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Use the knowledge about Object Oriented design concepts, patterns and software architecture

• Be able to work independently as well as in a team, taking responsibility to deliver work within deadlines

• Be a good team player, enjoy collaborating and solving problems with others

• Demonstrate written, verbal and presentation skills in English

Work in a way that works for you

Our 6-month interm program starts in July. The program requires you to be available 40 hours per week during summer months (July-September). We offer the opportunity to work part-time during the academic year (October-December).

This is a flexible role and may be performed at your home and/or the local Akamai office (in the country advertised). We are happy to discuss working options in this role and encourage you to speak with your recruiter in more details when you apply.
