Akamai's Infrastructure Engineering & Operations organization builds and maintains Akamai's Platformone of the world's largest distributed platforms. Our Server Hardware Engineering team is responsible for designing, qualifying, and testing servers destined for our growing network.

Partner with the best

As a Software Engineer II, you will be developing new software and automation frameworks for testing new hardware platforms and embedded software to run on hardware destined for Akamai's growing network. You'll be a part of a team that designs servers and develops firmware for our growing platform consisting of over 300,000 servers in 130 countries.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Developing systems responsible for testing x86 server hardware and embedded software

• Providing feedback to other team members to improve systems and processes

• Collaborating with industry partners and internal teams to design performant, efficient, and reliable computing systems

• Contributing to the software development life cycle from conception to deployment to deliver high-quality software solutions

• Developing automation software to enhance and optimize hardware qualification processes

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have relevant experience and a Bachelor's in Automation and Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics and telecommunication or related field

• Have experience with the following languages: Python, C / C , Bash in Linux environment

• Have experience with Git or equivalent version control framework

• Be a good team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-changing environment

• Demonstrate ability to communicate professionally and collaborate with internal stakeholders

• Be open for a hybrid work (3 days on-site a week) in Cracow
