Our Application Security Team is the largest contributor to Akamai's $1 billion security business. Focusing on solutions that solve complex security problems like API Security, denial of service, exploitation of software vulnerabilities in Apps, etc. We protect the applications the world's largest brands build without compromising performance or user experience.

Partner with the best

You will lead the App & API Protection Product Management Team. Creating, and driving the strategy and execution of our market leading web application and API protection offerings.

Supporting the Vice President of Product Management to deliver sustained growth. You will collaborate cross-functionally on a global scale. Providing leadership and execution to new efforts that will ensure Akamai remains a cyber security powerhouse!

As a Director Product Management, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the growth strategy of this foundational business

• Setting clear priorities for all stakeholders

• Delivering progress for all constituencies that depend upon Akamai's App & API Protection offerings

• Selecting and incubation of new products and capabilities

• Collaborating with finance and analytics teams to define and track financial, product consumption and customer health metrics

• Cultivating an effective, metric-based approach that enables data driven decisions

• Collaborating with internal stakeholders and executives on mergers and acquisitions relevant to the security business

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 12 years of product management experience and bachelors degree in a related field.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $165,646 - $264,868/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
